“Little Beauty” Carousel

The Noblesville Parks Department recently took over the operations of the “Little Beauty” Carousel at Forest Park. The Allen Herschell Company Carousel, built in 1920, was installed in the park in 1996 and is considered one of a kind and is one of the most popular attractions at Forest Park.  The “Little Beauty” has twenty jumping horses and two chariots with a seating capacity of thirty-two. 

With the change in operator, the parks department is excited to showcase the work that has been completed to make it a destination for families.  Recent updates include painting of the murals on the carousel by local artist, Scott Shoemaker, new flooring and counter tops in the concession area, and the addition of a soft serve ice cream machine. 

The changes will allow for:

• Enjoyment for families
• More activity for park visitors with an increase in concession stand offerings
• Party rentals for up to 48 guests, including:
  • Access to the Forest Park Aquatic Center
  • Carousel rides
  • Mini Golf
  • Unlimited day use wristbands
